The WisCon hospitality suite, or consuite in fannish parlance, is a place for you to relax, enjoy a tasty snack or beverage, and chat with other attendees. WisCon's consuite is widely known as one of the most complete hospitality suites at a science fiction convention. Our organizers work long hours to provide you with options for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner! If you just could not tear yourself away from the convention, you could conceivably eat consuite food all weekend. (But we do highly recommend Madison's restaurants.)
All that being said, all the bounty of the consuite is included in your WisCon membership. You can enjoy it as much or little as you care to. Please stop by the sixth floor at some point during your visit and check it out.
Our consuite workers, all volunteers, get to meet a lot of different people at the con. Volunteering at the consuite for an hour or two is a great way to become involved in the convention. Working at the consuite is like throwing a party for your friends... except you don't have to pay for any of the food. It's easy to sign up, and both night owls and early birds will find shifts to their tastes. If you would like to volunteer, email volunteers32@wiscon.info.
Have you tried some of our custom fortune cookies? They were all penned by WisCon attendees and said cryptic things like You will soon be called on to help a blonde friend in trouble. Wear a crucifix, carry a wooden stake, and say something sarcastic. Would you like to submit a short, pithy saying for consideration in the next batch? If so, email the Cookie Goddess at her secretary's address and we'll see she gets your suggestion. (Ideas received after May 10 will be saved for the following year!)
